Achieved certification in 2021 by taking 27 OSHA regulation based training programs from the State of Nevada Department of Business and Industry Division of Industrial Relations Safety Consultation and Training Section.

Major course work included studies in scheduling, estimating, contract administration and law, building systems and design, advanced materials and methods, HVAC systems, plumbing, carpentry, structural engineering, electrical, concrete, inspections and building codes, engineering geology, surveying, accounting, technical writing, public speaking and business administration. Significant experience with computer based project management systems.

Principal Consultant - Hobble Creek Services, LLC, Henderson, NV, Jan. 2016 - Present. 

Mr. Hjorth provides consulting services to public and private owners, design professionals, contractors, and attorneys on high-impact projects. He consults on various assignments including the roles and responsibilities of the various parties involved in construction contract disputes. His work also includes resolving claims for damage-for-delay disputes, construction code compliance, lighting deficiencies, construction defects, building inspections, slip and fall (tribometer testing), construction site safety, pedestrian safety, traffic control safety, and job site accidents.

Mr. Hjorth is a licensed general contractor and is committed to solving construction challenges and developing pathways to better building. His professional experience includes roles with some of the largest hotel and retail chains in the U.S., project management on commercial installations, as well as a diverse portfolio of projects ranging from single family home improvement to large-scale commercial construction.

Manufactured millwork and cabinetry for commercial construction projects.  Projects ranged from $5,000.00 to $900,000.00 dollars.  

Senior Consultant - Swainston Consulting Group, Henderson, NV, Jan. 2002-Aug. 2003; Sept. 2007- Jan. 2016

Provided consulting services to public and private owners, design professionals, contractors, and attorneys on a variety of projects ranging from hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars. Consulting services include construction defect litigation, construction contract disputes, project delay disputes, construction code violations, slip and fall (tribometer testing), job site accidents, and indoor microbial and air quality issues.  


Consultant/Project Manager - Leeming Construction Services, Inc., Las Vegas, May 2004-Sept. 2007 

• Consulting services include inspecting residential and commercial construction projects, writing repair reports, and preparing estimates for attorneys defending contractors in construction defect litigation and construction contract disputes.

• Managed approvals, construction, and installation of 110’ radio tower, car wash, propane fueling station, automotive spray paint booth, and offsite improvements for a local taxi cab facility.

• Design and project management of three residential remodels/additions.

• Design and project management of 2800 sq. ft. commercial office tenant improvement.

• Oversaw and directed construction activities of a 9000 sq. ft. tenant improvement for local food brokerage company. Construction included office space and large commercial kitchen.  Project finished on time and under budget.

Customer Service Manager - Pulte Homes, Las Vegas, NV, Aug. 2003-May 2004

 •Managed long-term warranty service (special operations division) and repairs on 1,500- 3,000 homes throughout the Las Vegas Valley. Focused on problem solving and claims resolution with HOA’s and individual homeowners to prevent potential litigation.

• Directed monthly meetings with in house service managers, trade contactors owners and upper level managers to implement processes and a reward program to improve customer service procedures and practices.  As a result, many trade contractors streamlined their practices and increased productivity requiring fewer customer service personnel.

Assisted with a $24M delay dispute claim.  Compiled and developed detailed reports and schedules for analysis.

• Drafted residential, multi-family and commercial plans for construction.

• Building drawings ranged from 3,500 sq ft - 65,000 sq ft
